Website Redesign
Client: Design For Extreme Affordability (Stanford)
I redesigned and implemented the new Design For Extreme Affordability website (wordpress). Design for Extreme Affordability is a course that is very close to my heart, which I took while a mechanical engineering graduate student at Stanford. In the course (and beyond), students “learn to design products and services that will change the lives of the world’s poorest citizens”. The website that I designed is currently in use since 2018. The goals of the redesign were to:
Modernize the website
Highlight the spirit of the course - creativity, impact, collaboration of many stakeholders, and many amazing stories and projects
Help visitors (prospective students, prospective partners, supporters, etc..) understand the course, its goals, and its mission better
Improve content organization and ability of admin to post announcements/stories easily

My Work:
Worked closely with course teaching team to understand use cases of website, user groups to speak to, information required, and their own needs & wants
Complete redesign of the website using WordPress to showcase the most important values of the class - the impact, the projects, the focus on design thinking, and the importance of all of the different stakeholders, through:
UX/UI design
Redesign of navigation and information organization (pages)
Copywriting and content editing (photos, videos)
Projects and Stories database set up (with filters)
Created full documentation of maintenance procedures and how the website is designed for future upkeep
